Our One-Act Play falls during winter months – try-outs are before Christmas Break, with practice starting right after that break. It’s a short practice season of about 3 weeks. Students in grades 7 through 12 are eligible to participate in One Act Play. Again, we have early morning practices so as not to conflict with other extra-curricular activities. This allows students to participate in One Act Play and winter sports. The numbers for this play are similar to the Spring Play but parts are smaller because the entire play has to be performed in 45 minutes including setting up and taking down the set. Some years the plays are serious and other years the plays are comedies. It is good for young actors and actresses to be able to perform both kinds of plays.
