Career Internship class offers the opportunity for Florence Seniors to go out and experience first hand careers they may be interested in. In the two years of the program, we have been able to expose our seniors to a wide range of careers. Prairie Lakes Wellness Center, Lake Area Vet, various school districts, Big Stone Therapies, and the Bramble Park Zoo are just a few that our students have interned at. We also take the time to go over different process that the students will encounter. Job interviews, resume and cover letter writing, and scholarships are a few process that we go through. We also take some time during the third quarter to go over concepts that are crucial in adulthood. Health insurance, retirement, life insurance, and loans are a few things that we dive into in the winter. To take advantage of this opportunity, students should sign up with Mrs. Flisrand, the school counselor.
