Journalism is an elective offered to students in grades 9-12. During this class, students learn how publish the monthly school paper and the annual yearbook. Interviews, writing articles, designing layouts, along with taking and editing photos are all skills students learn in Journalism. Students become a big part of the community when they work with sponsors to create advertisements and deliver the newspaper to local businesses. Each year students attend the State Journalism Conference at SDSU and submit their work for competition.
