Our choir is made up of over 40 students in grades 9 through 12. Students attend at least 2 sectionals each week and also full choir periods. We work on 3-part and 4-part music. We perform in 2 concerts – Christmas and Spring, as well as graduation. These students are also eligible to go on the music trip which occurs every other year. We also have a small group, Honors Choir, which meets each day during its own class period. Students get to pick a solo piece to work on from contemporary music. These students also sing at the Christmas and Spring Concerts, Baccalaureate, Homecoming and National Honor Society Induction. They also perform the Star-Spangled Banner at home athletic events. You must be in High School Choir to be a part of Honors Choir.

All State Choir
Our school takes one quartet (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) to perform in a mass choir of about 1,000 students from around the state of South Dakota. Students must try-out and then attend multiple practices in Watertown and at NSU and SDSU. It’s a great experience for our small school students to get to perform with a huge choir of singers who are intent on delivering a solid performance. This year, the concert is Saturday, October 28th, in Rapid City and can be viewed on the South Dakota Public Broadcasting Station.
